Anna Maria Geretti

Dr Anna-Maria Geretti

Dr Anna Maria Geretti is a Consultant Clinical Virologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free Hospital in London, where she heads the Retrovirology laboratory and also works as a physician with a specialist interest in antiretroviral therapy and resistance, viral hepatitis and genital herpes. She trained in Virology, HIV Medicine, GU Medicine and General Medicine in the UK, the Netherlands and Italy, and holds an MD in Medicine and a PhD in the virology and immunology of HIV infection. She is a member of the UK Royal College of Pathologists, the Italian College of Physicians, the British HIV Association Executive Committee and the British Association for Sexual Health & HIV Special Interest Group on genital herpes. She is a member of The British HIV Association Treatment Guidelines Writing Committee, an advisor to the British National Formulary (Antivirals) and editor of the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (Antivirals).
